In China, acupuncture has been a way to manage and to fix physical and mental health problems for thousands of years. Because many people benefit from it, it is also increasingly popular in the Western world.
It is an easy and harmless way to treat common pregnancy-related health issues. Acupuncture is a good alternative to medication, since most drugs cannot be used during pregnancy. International studies have scientifically proven that acupuncture is effective.
At 36 weeks pregnant and onwards, you can make use of pre-birth acupuncture. The advantages are:
You can start pre-birth acupuncture at 36 weeks pregnant. The treatment will take place once a week until the delivery.
At 34 weeks pregnant and onwards, it is possible to turn the baby using acupuncture. The success rate is 50 percent. Sometimes several treatments are needed.
Acupuncture can also support you during the delivery:
It is also possible to induce labor with acupuncture. A treatment will be scheduled at the beginning of your 41st week of pregnancy. Please keep in mind that you might need two treatments. Acupuncture can be a catalyst, but your baby and your body will ultimately decide when they are ready.
The costs of acupuncture are € 25 per treatment. A treatment lasts for about 20-45 minutes. Women who are not registered at our practice can also get acupuncture treatments, provided that they do so in consultation with the practice.
